Favorite Memory at SMU: My favorite memories I’ve made while being a student at SMU has been through serving on SOUL trips. I had the opportunity to go on three trips during my time as a student. Through volunteering on a reservation in Browning, Montana, 2nd grade classroom in inner Rochester, New York, and convent in Terra Haute, Indiana I was able to give back to the community I was working in, all while building friendships with both community members and students from SMU.
Next Steps: My next steps include finding an elementary teaching position through the end of the school year.
Final Words as You Depart: I would like to extend a “thank-you” to my professors here at SMU. Thank you for answering the many questions I have asked, as well as broadening my horizon to new opportunities. I would like to also say a special “thank-you” to my education professors. With your help and guidance I have gained great knowledge and experience in and out of the classroom.
