NAME/ LOCATION OF INTERN SITE: The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America Minnesota/Dakotas chapter
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Creating graphics for social media as well as informational posters. Also creating graphics for the Take Steps for Crohn’s and Colitis walk and everything involved with that event.
HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THIS INTERNSHIP?: I participated in the Take Steps walk in Rochester MN and got to know the Take Steps walk manager. I asked if they hired interns and they said there was an opening for a Take Steps intern so I applied.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST FAVORITE PART OF THE INTERNSHIP?: Being able to have full creative freedom and create graphics for a great organization.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST CHALLENGING PART OF THE INTERNSHIP?: Balancing my school work and my internship at the same time.
WHAT’S BEEN THE BIGGEST LESSON(S): Staying organized is the key to success.
ADVICE TO OTHER STUDENTS PREPARING FOR AN INTERNSHIP: Choose your internship based on something you truly love doing. It will be an enjoyable experience if you love what you’re doing.
