STUDENT NAME: Connor Bonfe

MAJOR: Public Relations

CLASS OF (GRADUATION YEAR): December of 2016.

NAME/ LOCATION OF INTERN SITE: The Career Services and Internships Office. Winona, MN.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Part of my job is to help promote the Career Services and Internships Office for students on campus. On top of that, I review resumes, help set up the Career Fair, send out weekly newsletters, and work with Mike Hagarty to better the CSI Office.

HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THIS INTERNSHIP?: I found out there was an email sent to students on campus for an opening and thought this would be a great experience for me.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST FAVORITE PART OF THE INTERNSHIP: Working with my supervisor Mike Hagarty because he has been very helpful and willing to sit down with me and go through certain ideas of each project. Also, the fact that I can walk into the office and everyone working there is very welcoming and friendly.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST CHALLENGING PART OF THE INTERNSHIP: The most challenging part has been deciding my own ideas at times and what to come up with for certain material, but it is also a great learning experience as well.

WHAT’S BEEN THE BIGGEST LESSON(S): Be able to learn on your own and be ready to work hard.

ADVICE TO OTHER STUDENTS PREPARING FOR AN INTERNSHIP: Do not be afraid to go above and beyond at work. Every supervisor will see that your working hard and they will appreciate you even more.
