Finding an internship on your own

Students are encouraged to network with those in their field of interest, at relevant organizations and events, and fellow alumni to learn of potential internship opportunities and explore sponsorship. Students are not permitted to develop internships in organizations where they would be working under the direct supervision of or in close proximity to a member of their immediate family. Other resources which students use to identify internship opportunities include social networking tools such as LinkedIn or Facebook, friends and family, and community resources, such as relevant chambers of commerce directory.
