Hosting an intern
You can make a difference in the life of a student! Partnering with the Career Services and Internships Office is a great way for you to get involved with current Saint Mary’s students. Your contribution as an Alumni Internship Host will significantly impact the Saint Mary’s experience and the students you work with. Valuable learning and relationships flourish from these internship opportunities. An internship is a work experience at your workplace during the summer, fall or spring. The time period depends on your needs and if the internship can be paid or not. As an internship host, you are responsible for providing students with practical work experience related to their major. You determine the responsibilities and set the parameters for selecting students. For additional information on supervising internships, visit our “employers” webpages. Contact Mike Hagarty at 507-457-6695 or mhagarty@smumn.edu with any questions. Post your Alumni-Sponsored Internship to current Saint Mary’s students via our position description form. Opportunities for students are accepted on a rolling basis and advertised to students throughout the year.
